Belinda Siller

"When I think about my school days at Southwest, my fondest memories are of my algebra teacher, Mrs. Scott, who helped me to love numbers, Mrs. Segura, who help me understand the importance of writing and comprehending words, Mrs. Martinez, who loved to teach us Spanish, and the camaraderie of teammates which helped me to work with others toward a common goal."

A long-time employee of CPS Energy, the nation's largest municipally-owned energy company providing both natural gas and electric service to San Antonio and surrounding communities. Ms. Siller held various executive roles in financial services, human resources and corporate support. Now retired from CPS Energy, she spends time with family including two grandchildren.

Ms. Siller comes from a long-line of Southwest High School graduates, including siblings and her two children.

She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Texas San Antonio and Master of Business Administration Degree from Our Lady of the Lake University.

While at OLLU, Ms. Siller was a member of the Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society in Business Administration. While at UTSA, she was a member of the Alpha Beta Psi, Dean's List and Honor Roll.

She also earned the designations of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist and Certified Treasury Professional.

In addition to roles at CPS Energy, Ms. Siller served for several years on the board of the CPS/IBEW Federal Credit Union. She served as a member of the Sacred Heart Church Finance Council in Von Ormy, and served as President of the Parish Pastoral Council at Our Lady of Grace Church in LaCoste.

"Its motivating to be part of The Southwest Education Foundation because I have been a life-long member of the Southwest district and I have had many family members that have and continue to attend SWISD. Which includes the first valedictorian, cousins, an uncle, siblings and my two children. In addition, my experiences as a university student, and my career in business showed me how important a good education is to being a well-rounded individual, one that will be better able to live and work in a diverse world. A good education helps our students build the confidence to make their place in the world."
