Teachers & the Education Grants

The SWISD Eduction Foundation awards grants to teacher through an application process each year. This gives teachers an opportunity to apply and receive funds to do innovative things in their classrooms. The amount can range from year to year, however most years it is about $60,000 that go to teachers.

2017-2018 Teacher Grants: We awarded $61,607.00 in the 2017-2018 school year to 42 teachers!

2018-19 Teacher Grants: We awarded $61,457.53 in the 2018-2019 school year to 54 teachers!

2019-2020 Teacher Grants: We awarded $64,390.29 in the 2019-2020 school year to 62 teachers!

This year because of Covid-19 we are not doing grant applications, instead the Foundation will award set amounts based on enrollment to each campus so they can use as needed given the unique circumstances. The goal is to open the application process back up in 2021-2022.
